What’s covered?

Loss or Damage to Your Car

Covers the cost of repairing or replacing your car due to collision or crash, malicious acts, theft, attempted theft, fire, storm, hail, and floods.

New Car Replacement

If your car becomes a total loss within two years or 40,000km (whichever comes first) of the original registration we’ll replace your car with a new one.

Hire Car Following Theft

If your car is stolen, we’ll reimburse you for the reasonable cost of a hire car, for up to 14 days, up to a maximum of $1,000.

Damage to Other People’s Property

We will cover you for up to $20 million for legal liability for accidental damage to someone else's property caused by the use of your car.


Stuck somewhere? We’ll help with the costs of recovering, towing and storage if your car’s stolen, or unsafe to drive following an accident

Emergency transport and accommodation

If your comprehensively insured car is damaged and undriveable, we’ll pay up to $200 per day, up to a total of $1,000 for emergency transport or accommodation.

Personal items

If your personal effects are damaged in a collision or stolen from your car, we’ll cover them for up to $500.

Replacement keys

We’ll cover the cost of replacing your car keys or remote locking device if they’re stolen and not recovered, up to $1,000.

Trailer or caravan

We’ll pay you up to $1,000 if your caravan or trailer is damaged in a collision while you are towing it (this doesn’t cover any contents in the caravan or trailer).

Accident Hire Car

If we accept your claim for an incident other than theft, we will arrange and pay the daily cost for a hire car that meets your needs for up to 14 days.

Reduced Window Glass Excess

You can reduce your excess for damage to your car’s window glass, including its windscreen and rear and side windows, to just $40.

Option to Change Your Basic Excess

If you choose a higher basic excess, your premium will reduce, and if you choose a lower basic excess, your premium will increase.

Your needs might change a little over time. If there is an optional benefit you’d like to add or remove, you can do so either by contacting us, or logging into our online Policy Manager and editing your policy.

(Just note that you can only reduce your window glass excess within 21 days of buying, renewing, or transferring your policy to another car.)
